JD
BIOGRAPHY:

It all began with the release of Moving Pictures in 1981. After hearing Tom Sawyer on the radio in the quiet subdivision of Nob Hill in Country Club Hills, IL., John picked up the album and a Rickenbacker bass guitar and began the long journey of learning how to play every song.

Jamming with various rock bands, he switched to guitar to join up with his brother’s band Bittersweet to form Last Call in 1992. He formed Big Fun in 1996, a mostly classic/alternative rock cover band with his brother Joe and former Last Call drummer Norm Corsi. In 2002, Big Fun became Alter Ego, based in the far southwest suburbs of Chicago. They were a power trio with Jay Johnson on drums, playing a variety of popular classic and current rock covers. John also filled in on guitar in the classic rock band Flashback, playing a variety of shows in 2003.

After a short break from playing, John helped form Epic - an 80’s rock cover band - in 2005 where he still plays guitar. With the idea of rediscovering the challenge of Rush’s music, John picked up Geddy’s signature Fender Jazz bass, a few keyboards and teamed up with RCD, The Dark Canuck, and David T. Crossbow-Snakebite to help bring Chronicles to life.
